Man, Magnaflow FTL

I heard a rattle under the GP that sounded like some type of exhaust rattle (as I prayed it wasn't a cracked flexplate) and as it turns out my Magnaflow cat heat shield rusted out around the thee spot welds on the side, so it was flapping like a talking clam. Sounded awful and was really annoying. I would have expected better than this after 3-4 years. I secured it with some tight safety wire until I can get futher under it for a more permanent solution. Cat still works real well though. As it turns out, my Jeeper friend (no, he's not a mod on here) had the same thing happen.

So to those of you who DD your cars and put magnaflow high flows on it you may want to take note and maybe have a thicker weld put on the heat shield if you can. May save some troubleshooting later on. And no, I won't delete the cat until it's really holding me back.

Same thing happened to mine when I knew of such things as emissions... I grabbed a large hose clamp I had laying around and that did the job.

Mario Andretti should drive out personally in his Vette to bring you a new cat! :)
