average miles?
 

hey guys just wanted to see what everyones average monthly miles are that you put on your cars. (daily drivers) my sister has no clue why my mom is mad that she put 8k miles on her taurus in 2 months and never even thought about doing an oil change.

so i just wanted to get some averages from you guys to show her that her driving is completely stupid for someone that "doesnt go anywhere"

WOW that is quite a bit of mileage for two months. When I commuted to Rider I only put 3k miles a month, now...forget it. I dont go anywhere so I may put 1k on every other month.

Explorer goes 1200-1300 miles a month.

Um, maybe 3k a year?

personaly 8k miles in 2 months doesnt seem all that much. my dad puts 12k miles on his truck in 2 months. granted we change the oil filter in his truck every 2-3 weeks and change the oil roughly every 2 months. he drives a 99 ford ranger that he has had sense new and has always used mobil 1 in it sense day 1. we recently removed the oil pan once his truck hit 300k miles to check the internals and everything looks as good as new.

Maybe 1-2k a month in my camaro (DD)

i drove 1010 miles this month. normaly around 1k a month

I put about 880 miles on my G8 in a month.

I have averaged about 1,551 miles / month in my Jeep since I bought it 2.5 years ago.

I've put 15k on my DD in the last 9 months; so roughly 1.6k/month

Im about 800 miles/month

1700 a month DD

about 1000 to 1500 a month

0 miles in the past 1/4 year.... oh the woes of being away at skewl in a city =/

I put about 30k a year on my Lincoln 2500 a month.

in the last year ive put about 10k miles on the TA and maybe 500 on the camaro

now that im only drivin one car im puttin over 3000 a month on the beast, but i deliver pizza:nod:

My average will throw everything off, but I use my car for work and get paid mileage. Roughly 50k/year on my hhr, 6-7k on my camaro, so almost 5000/month.

In all honesty, you said she "doesn't go anywhere" yeah that's a lot of miles. My mileage is high because I commute between 150-250 miles/day during my high season. If you're not going anywhere there's no reason it should be more than 1500/month

in the last 16months my average comes to 2,156miles per month, the with the first 3 weeks of having the t/a i had 4k miles i remember that

i drove my SKY June 1st- Nov 27th, thats just about 6 months and put 11K on it in that time. so thats babout 1833 miles a month.... just did its frist oil change in sept when i was back for R&R, but i was going by the oil life suggestion display, i was at like 25% still, lol. The ecotecs with Mobil One are said to last longer between oil changes... who knows, next one will be at about 15k though.
