What? A PCM tuner for $35 ????

Check this out. Galletto 1260 OBDII EOBD ECU Flashing Cable sells for $26 to $55. Claims to easily flash OBDII PCM's with user friendly software. Comes with software and cable.

What do you think?

I think its only the cable they are selling... no software such as HPTuners or LS1Edit...

Package Contents

Model CVFG-A15 Galletto 1260 OBDII EOBD ECU Flashing Cable
2x2 VAG adapter
CD with software
It comes with a CD, but I can't imagine it being any good, at all. It's not even make specific. There are plenty of snake oil PCM "kits" out there. As far as software goes, quality costs money.

But hey, at least you get a VAG adapter out of the deal. May come in handy if you get lucky overseas and need to convert your SAE extension to a Metric socket.

Hey, its made in China, so it has to be good right?

Can I flash all of my ECUs?

Some ECUs can not be flashed with this OBDII connector.

I would think is more like a CD version of a handheld tuner, probably able to do some basic changes, tire size, timing, nothing to complicated. note the fine print that it doesn't work on all cars.

It says anyone can use it, so I doubt you can do any real tuning with it. Plus the fact they can't tell you what cars its compatible with is what's turning me off from giving it a shot.

Finally found the owners manual for that product. First, it does not have GM or Ford vehicles on the compatability list. All are foreign, BMW, Honda, etc. Second, it only loads a pre-defined flash to the computer. No options whatsoever are available to the user.

Oh well.
