Wow. After stopping
At quite a few auto parts stores looking for the Sylvaina Silverstar headlights for the camaro. I ended up ordering the two I needed from amazon.
Yes I am that friggin lazy to order them through a local store. http://www.amazon.com/Sylvania-H4656...xgy_auto_img_a |
Walmart carries them lol
|
eh I try to advoid that store like the plague. lol Especially the ones around here...
|
I love them on my 87. Very bright, looks good. Too bad the fogs are still natrual yellow...
|
I have them in my Cherokee too, way better than stockers. Still want to do an H4 upgrade (or HID, but don't have the spare cash to do it right), but the Silverstars are definitely an improvement.
I just wish they would sell the same lights without the blue tint. The Silverstar Ultras have less tint, but it's still there. Oh well - it's the "in" thing, and the lights are still better than stock in most cases. - Justin |
Ok, my 77 has 9003 bulbs. What are the brightest ones I can get that are not blue?

They make 9003's in Ultras. They arent blue at all to me? They are pretty bright.
Problem with them is that they wear out pretty fast. Silvanya used to put a "expected life" indicator on the back of each of packets, displaying stats. Regular had 4 bars for life, Silverstars and the SS Ultras were one bar. I thought about getting a set for the Malibu. I wish that GM put projectors headlights in the damn car. |
For the H4656's I have the ultra's They are friggin bad ass. Tho just for the H4651's the silver stars will work just fine. The only other upgrade Id like to do is to run some relays and 10ga wiring to them before I drive to floriduh in feb. What can I say, I got spoiled by the GTO's head lights.
|
My 77 already has relays, I'm good in that department. :)

silverstars are excellent for the price. my old cavi had them in the high, low and fogs. my friends hated me behind them. they did have the bright white/blue tint. i really liked it. almost hid but not. |
There is a whole story behind it...and I wont get into it..but in sort GM marketing thought Americans didnt want to spend 2 grand on a navigation or HID's when they can get it in the aftermarket for 1/10th the price.
