o2 bung on DS header welded closed

the drivers side o2 bung on my header is welded shut, wondering if anyone knows if it was be cut out easily or if it will be a big problem... or should i just leave out the sensor and go to a private inspector???

if you want to run an o2 sensor, your easiest option would be to leave that one welded shut, and have an exhaust shop weld in another bung as close to it as possible and still be able to get a wrench around the o2... it will be hell to clean out that one with weld in it, and easier than worrying about your sticker every 2 years

Your TPI car needs the o2 sensor to run correctly. It is not an optional, emissions only part..

I agree with everything said above. Most likely easier to get a new bung welded in. Shouldn't be more than an hour labor anywhere. Just for curiousity...did they weld a plug into the old bung or just fill the entire thing with welding wire?

theres just a plate welded on the inside of the bung, thanks for the tips guys, i think come this summer ill see if i can get a bung welded on without too much of a problem
