Need help finding a beer...yes I am serious - PLEASE HELP

OK. I am trying to find a beer and can't find it anywhere. It's a collaboration brew by Sierra Nevada and Dogfish Head called Life & Limb. I've called everywhere and no one has it.

If anyone knows where to find it or has it in their hands, all I want is two bottles. I'll gladly pay double what stores charge for it.

I've been on a wild goose chase trying to track this stuff down but it is eluding me. I'm a little bit of a nut when I can't find something so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I pass Little Brothers in Flemington on my way home. They have an excellent variety. If it's there I'll grab it for you.

Don't know your exact answer, but I hope this hopes.

I called a few places locally (Super Saver in Pennington, and Joe Canals in Lawrenceville). Super Saver doesn't have it, waiting for a call back from Canals.

Looks like a good brew - if you find it, make sure you let us know where. I'm a big Dogfish fan, and would love to try it.

I tried callin Canals in Lawrenceville but one guy said they may have had it (put me on hold), then someone else picked up the phone and he said they don't have him. Hmmmm.

Maybe someone is stashing some somewhere.

When Canals calls me back I'll let you know what they tell me. They will also order things sometimes, but I think you have to get at least a case.

Any idea what the going rate per bottle is?

Also - West Trenton Liquors doesn't have it.

Thanks! I won't mind buying a case if available. Going rate for a bottle is $8-$10 from what I've seen online. Only problem is the online stores are out of stock.

i been looking for a beer too....used to buy it in cali all the time. its called Flying Dog Tire Bite

Tru2Chevy 12-21-2009 06:49 PM

I just got the call back from Canal's. The guy said that he knew what I was asking about, but he doesn't know if they haven't received their allocation yet, or if they have already sold out.

He told me to call tomorrow after 10:00am and ask for the beer manager, Chris Carter.

Jay, I've seen Flying Dog at several local places, but never seen the Tire Bite. I would ask at (Joe) Canal's, or Super Saver up on the Pennington Circle.

So the saga continues. I may have also found a location but no idea. I may just buy a case if they have it since this is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Let me know what you hear tomorrow from the manager. Thanks!

I will - and if you end up buying a case, I'd buy a few bottles from you :)

Brian-

I checked with Little Brothers. Spoke to the owner, actually. He said that they had carried it but it's "done", in that they are sold out and are not getting any more. It was apparently a fall brew only. LB's has just about every other Sierra and Dogfish brew...

Sorry.

BonzoHansen 12-21-2009 07:46 PM

Canals in hamilton on rt130 had it but is out. The guy is not sure if they are getting more but said to try back in the next day or so.

BonzoHansen 12-21-2009 08:15 PM

Ok home now. Also struck out at shop rite liquors near my house. Sorry. I've never gone to 2 beer stores before w/o buying anything.

Yea I know they are done brewing it and I doubt they will brew anymore at the moment. Thanks for talking to them to see if they would have it. Much appreciated.

Well I def give you an A for effort. Thanks for taking a look. I may get lucky tomorrow and this guy in NY will have it. If I can buy enough, I will spread the joy.

I was just there today, im 99% sure it was there, If I had seen this thread I would have looked but for some reason I think I saw it back in the warm beer area.

Blackbirdws6 12-22-2009 07:29 PM

Well I managed to find a few bottles today. Traveled to NY to get it lol. No one in NJ has this so I was convinced I had to look out of state. I'll report back on how it tastes.
