Thats cause the officer feels bad for you cause you drive a third gen, OR, he just knows that third gens are slow and stuff.

Tru2Chevy 01-02-2010 04:01 PM

In all seriousness, I got in more trouble in my V6 than I ever have in my Z28

Did your Z28 spend as much time in good running condition as your v6?

NJ346 01-02-2010 08:15 PM

cops are definitely hot in my area this weekend. I didn't even make it 24hrs into the new year before getting pulled over. No ticket, but I already lost my 2010 PBA card and got lectured how having my "LE" plates is a privilege.

Yes, specialty plates honoring fallen law enforcement officers.

Many people believe that cops will let you get away with more shenanigans since you spent the extra $50 to get these plates.

Basically I pay $50 more a year on registration to have them and it's for a charity type fund for children of fallen officers(I believe) in hopes of making my car a little more police friendly since I don't run a front plate and my car is cammed.

EDIT: Justin beat me to it with the same exact googled image lol.

Frosty 01-02-2010 09:39 PM

Ahhhh OK...makes sense.

Mike 01-02-2010 11:01 PM

not really a privilege though, anyone that wants to spend the money can get them from dmv... he was just giving you a hard time.
