Eagles/Cowboys

This is just pathetic to watch....kudos to the Cowboys. This game is over.

Squirrel 01-03-2010 05:22 PM

rocca is a very underrated punter

Frosty 01-03-2010 05:23 PM

...and Andy Reid is an overrated coach.

Kat 01-03-2010 05:24 PM

Lets go cowbooys!.. Im sure that Andy is loving this ****.. lol

Frosty 01-03-2010 05:29 PM

Eh, let him love it....1996, 'nuff said.

I love how the Eagles/Reid panicked when they got down by 2 TD's....completely abandoned the run....I'm sorry but being down by 2 TD's with that offense is nothing. If the D knows you're passing every down then you make ******* a sitting duck...the Dallas D is teeing off on them.

baddest434 01-03-2010 05:35 PM

could be worse frosty! look how the giants got plastered the last 2 weeks

Frosty 01-03-2010 05:37 PM

I know, I love it. Proof their SB run was a fluke....overrated garbage team.

NastyEllEssWon 01-03-2010 05:43 PM

eagles were on a hot streak for a while there this season....id rather them shake the bugs off this game, go into the playoffs underrated and have this game as a blueprint of what not to do.

Frosty 01-03-2010 05:47 PM

Yup, true. Still gotta give credit to Dallas(I think I'm going to puke  ). A lot of missed opportunities early on by the Eagles but Dallas just kept their foot to the floor.

The Eagles need to run the ball like they were...keep Westbrook and his frail body OUT of there and let McCoy and Weaver do their thing like they have in the last 6-8 games.

Frosty 01-03-2010 06:17 PM

Finally, the misery has ended, lol. I can't wait for the Cowboys fans to come in here talking trash. Romo and the Cowboys are still nothing until they win a playoff game...then and only then will they be a contender.

I didn't have a good feeling about this game at the start...I thought that MAYBE towards the end of the 1st half the Eagles could get something going but McNab had one of his typical inaccurate days...once that happens with no running game the day is over.

Yea yea yea...i instantly thought about your Giants post from last week

Squirrel 01-03-2010 06:27 PM

after the cowboys 3 minute drive to open the game and the eagles 30 second 3 and out i had a feeling the game was over and started to watch life after people, pretty interesting show

The super bowl win was two years ago. Saying that a season two years removed from a super bowl proves that it was a fluke is quite ignorant.

To prove this, lets see the roster turn-over from the super bowl win, and week 17 (today's Viking game)
(To clalify, by gone, I mean either retire, lost to free agency, or currently on IR.)
4 starters on offense from the super bowl, gone.
7 starters from the defense, gone.
Key reserves lost: 6

Now, lets compare this to the Eagles roster changes from the same period.
5 lost on offense.
6 lost on defense.

My hypothesis was wrong. Both teams have the same amount of turnover.

Which leads me to conclude that, the Eagles did better than the Giants at replacing their losses. I will say, as much as this pains me, that the eagles have a ton of playmakers, on both sides of the ball. They can be scary good sometimes. (Cowboys don't scare me as much.)

Orginal point still stands though, it is quite silly to state a late season collapse (a complete and total one at that) proves that the super bowl win two years ago was a fluke.

FASTEDDIE Z 01-03-2010 08:36 PM

Real happy to see the Cowboys handle theyre business . Hopefully the Eagles arent playing possum . Maybe they just wanted to play in a dome instead of the freezing cold

Not ignorant at all....they lost their only playoff game last year and had a debacle this year....maybe fluke is a harsh word...overrated might be better. They got hot at the right time 2yrs ago and sometimes that's enough to win it all.

Doubtful. The Eagles just got beat in every facet of the game today. Hopefully they get back to what got them on their 6 game roll.

BonzoHansen 01-03-2010 09:01 PM

I'd rather be an overrated a Super Bowl Champ than whatever the Cowgirls have been the past 10+ years.

That's why they don't play the games on paper. (Cliche as hell I know, but its true) They got hot at the right time. Even the biggest Giants fan (hopefully) will admit, that the team wasn't the best in the NFL throughout the entire season, just when it mattered the most.

Speaking of that playoff game last post season, as someone who watch it there, the Eagles were the better team on the field. The Giants had no game plan, no energy, and no urgency in their play.

Frosty 01-03-2010 09:10 PM

Yup...no energy, uch like this year....I was SHOCKED when they extended Coughlin's contract in '07...granted it seemed like it was smart since they won the SB but he's a horrible, HORRIBLE coach. It just seems like he can't get his players to play when it really counts.

BonzoHansen 01-03-2010 09:16 PM

I gave them a pass last year, the burris thing banged up the offense pretty good, and the team in general. This year I'm not sure why they went 2-9 down the stretch.

baddest434 01-03-2010 09:19 PM

holy chit!! i'm not watching the jets game but just check on nfl.com and saw this.i don't think iv'e ever seen stats like this before. wow. that time of pos. is just crazy. 27-0 jets at the half.

its clear the bengals are thowing this game so they don't have to play houston the AFC NO.2 ranked offence. they will play the jets again, from what the jets see in this fake game plan, they will feel good change nothing, while the bengals play a much different game and roll right over them. pretty good strategy if you ask me

I have extremely mixed feelings about Coughlin. He did win a super bowl, but I think I coaching style only can last a few years before the players just tune him out. I think the team is at that point. You kinda need a strong, vocal player who buys into a coach like Coughlin so the rest of the players fall in line. I don't think the Giants have that anymore. On offense, Eli just isn't that kind of guy. On defense, Tuck and Pierce just aren't that kind of person either.

Amazing...probably the best non-material birthday present Ive had in a while. This year is starting out so good.
Cant wait till next weekend.
