I concur.

Bit if you must .. neither. First one is too much going down the sides, and second is too small

if i had a 98-02 T/A or bird, it would look similar to this...

 is that gm?

Jersey Mike 01-06-2010 07:04 PM

1st one's too large, second ones too small.
Sizing's important for me before I can really grasp if I like it or not (and then which bird looks best).

no, thats the Mecham Formula made by Mecham Performance. i was in contact with them regarding the flush mount bird spoiler. i was going to get it up until i found out how heavy it is. lol and on the car it would be for, weight IS a big concern.

...but be advised pricing is up there. and yes they are still in business. lol

Mecham T/A

NJ Torque 01-06-2010 07:34 PM

NO.

B4C 01-06-2010 08:36 PM

Second bird but bigger

Wolfblitz 01-06-2010 08:42 PM

Who really cares if its a T/A or not, its a statement none the less.

FormulaKeith90 01-06-2010 09:42 PM

honestly i wouldnt go with any of them it goes down the sides to much and blue and white ehh not that great of a combo if you do get it done go with black but in my opinion just get a ram air hood for it

I agree with this. What's the statement, I like TA birds?

RiggsLW81 01-06-2010 10:19 PM

first bird is pretty sweet...though i prob wouldnt do flames, but the bird, that size, across the entire hood is cool. always dug white & blue themed cars..

NastyEllEssWon 01-07-2010 06:10 AM

theres a reason the hood bird died out

69BirdX 01-07-2010 07:03 AM

I like the first one may be big but still looks good

Wolfblitz 01-07-2010 07:16 AM

I wanted to fit it to the hood, just like the classic ones. I have one blank hood already, sold my T/A hood, and have another one i want to put the bird on.

sweetbmxrider 01-07-2010 07:17 AM

i would do a bird that decently covers the hood but doesn't extend to the fenders. that first blue is nice.

Wolfblitz 01-07-2010 07:32 AM

My car is getting painted before the "Street Wars" show this year.
I always wanted a blue pearl and i got in touch with a guy and got the
mix for he paint that he used. This will be the color of the car, its artic white
with blue pearl.

69BirdX 01-07-2010 07:36 AM

That's the color I want my 69 to be. Can't wait to see it done. They used a bird that fit the hood in a gmhightech article

Wolfblitz 01-07-2010 07:41 AM

I dont want to be cheap when it comes to this bird.
My airbrusher is doing it instead of getting a vinyl sticker.
