Leaky t tops
I dont have a lot of money and am looking for the cheapest place to purchase t-top gaskets or way to stop em from leaking thanks
car is an '89 camaro rs |
subframe connectors might stop the leaking. i put a cage in my car and it hasnt leaked!
|
today i was told about these guys...http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/weatherstripping.aspx
seems like they have alot of resto type parts aswell |
... Make sure the little drain hole isnt clogged. :)
|
take the t top apart and silicon under/around the rubber trim. cheap and worked for me.
|
leaky t-tops were a standard option an all 3rd gens.
New weatherstripping doesnt always help, mines all new, and still leaks, pretty bad actually. I should probably figure out where its getting in someday. |
Thanks everyone

make sure they are lined up correctly. The mounts in the front and back are slightly adjutable. mine where out of wack and i fixed those and that cured 99% of the water. BTW..hardtop is ftw

I just found out the other day how bad my t-tops leaked! Drivers side interior was soaked. Eh, what do you want for under $2000. Ill be siliconing tomorrow. I dont want to waste new gaskets only to rip them off next winter when I fix up the whole car.
