had that happen to me before, just went to the court everyday until it was in the system

Wolfblitz 01-20-2010 08:55 PM

NastyEllEssWon 01-20-2010 08:56 PM

yeah i usually just go to the window and pay it up front with cash. keep the reciept and paperwork in your car for awhile too....sometimes those warrants can be pesky little buggers

Yeah thats whay I dont get I got the same ticket from the same cop in the same town on friday...its already paid w/o problem...keeping that reciept in my wallet tho just incase...he didnt fill out my ticket correctly either but they didnt say anything when I paid it...No court apperance required for that one.

sweetbmxrider 01-20-2010 09:18 PM

usually, minor discrepancies on the ticket will simply be corrected by the judge in court and the ticket will stand. just a lil tid bit

V 01-20-2010 09:19 PM

depending on the town, theyll send a few notices for failure to appear before they issue a bench warrant.
and if there is a bench warrant out for you then it IS in the system somehow.
i know all this from experience, several times over.
Once in my own town, the police would know where i hung out and theyd come find me.
Id then follow them back to the station and post "bail" in the amount of the fine, get a receipt and be done with it. I know another town i had a warrant, i tried just posting bail like that but at 130am(when i went in lol) the officer on duty said hed have to wake up a detective of someone , have them come down, book me, print me etc, then i could post the bail in the amount of the fine. So he said just go to the violations dept then next business day and pay it.

If you have the ticket, just go to the violations clerk, show her and say u wanna pay it there on the spot, and get a reciept, also bring any types of notifications. Also keep the receipt with you for a while, cuz if you get pulled over they may not know its been taken care of. i came close with that once, ironically the ticket he gave me that night instead of taking me in, led to another warrant, hehe. the good ole days

He wrote me up for being in a school zone when he pulled me over right in front of the police station...didnt matter because it wasnt a moving violation, and the lady in the office charged me $10 less than the ticket was didnt question paid and left same officer in monroe twp seems to like handing out unclear plate tickets.

NastyEllEssWon 01-20-2010 09:50 PM

even if the warrant is out on you and you didnt show up to court all you have to do is go to the police station and pay the warrant...which incidentally will be the price of your ticket unless its a certain amount of days overdue in which case they tack on some penalties and surcharges. theyll give you your little golden ticket (yellow piece of paper saying you paid your fine and warrant is clear) that they tell you to carry with you for a few days just until the warrant is cleared and processed.

where you were stopped and where the violation occurred are usually two different places.....

I was never IN one when he saw me. No im not a child molestor if thats what your asking...but had it been a moving violation it would have cost more due to being IN a school zone.

He wrote on the ticke that the violation occured at the intersection that he pulled me over...which is not IN a school zone....I had been in a school zone but it is atleast 2mi down the road from where he first saw me.

What Im saying is that Its the same cop in this town giving the same tickets out and apparently not doing the best job filling them out of filing them or whatever.

sweetbmxrider 01-21-2010 09:50 AM

maybe you or the officer don't know where the school zone starts/ends

lol relax dude I just had no idea what you were talking about. reread your posts - you said you got "pulled over for being in a school zone" a few times. You left out what the actual offence was..
