i watched a little of it the other day and it was pouring in AZ... just saw a short clip on news12 that it flooded out and 60% of the cars there were damaged! there were some amazing cars there too... grand nationals, pace car vettes from various years and so on... just bad news

Squirrel 01-23-2010 03:38 AM

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH I think I see a Chevron there, I hope it's not damaged, thats a 1/4 million dollar car. Second photo, third from the left, next to the white/blue pick up, the red car with the back half slightly open.

Wow, thats terrible. I think I would have a nervous break down if my Nova got flooded.

I just heard that none of the cars at Russo Steele are going to be totalled so maybe it's not so bad. As for the prices at BJ, they seem to be pretty strong for good cars. You have to remember that what you see on tv is through those stupid filters that make a sparkle effect. A lot of the cars on Tue-Thu are so-so quality cars and I wouldn't expect big money for them. There was a black 67 Nova SS 327/275 hp that sold for $137K which seems crazy high. Lots of fake trim tags and questionable cars at BJ, that's why they are there.

I watched a few hours today and there has been some incredible cars. A lot of 100 - 200K auctions

Yea, there was some incredible vehicles today. Especially that 1952 Watson Roadster and the COPO Camaro!

Here's a link to some pictures of the damage. Lots of cars took some damage, some took a lot more than others as some of the poles came crashing down on them!
