football player at my school was doin squats yesterday with ~300lbs with coach spotting behind him, well he fell fowards into the stand thingy and his face hit the crossmember and the 300lbs smashed his face into it....he wont look the same...
weight lifting is dangerous  |
the edge of the plate hit the upper part of my foot, closer to my leg. surprisingly i dont think i broke it. i iced it all of yesterday and this morning it hurts like crazy, i cant walk correctly. when i walk i have to keep my ackle locked this sucks lol

I had an alternator fall off a shelf and land on my foot. Smashed my big toe and chipped the bone. It split the toe open across the "knuckle" portion so they couldn't stitch it closed, it had to heal on it's own. That poor toe has never been the same. You might want to get an X-ray just in case a bone is chipped, but in my case the chipped bone didn't matter.

Best first aid ever
|
get it checked out, it only takes something like 14lbs of pressure to break a foot. you might have a fracture or just bruised the bone bad. in the mean time jack and the captain should be your close friends
|
i dropped 3 plates pulling sumo on my right foot when i locked out incorrectly... thank god i was wearing my work boots and it got rolled off w/o dicing my toes with the steel tips

steel toes can be a no no. i dont wear em because ive actually had a lift come down on top of my foot, doctor said it was a good thing i didnt have steel toe boots on cause the steel wouldve either sheared my toes off or just clamed the boot to the top of my foot. either way...not a good scenario. 50 lbs wouldnt be nothing for steel toe boots. either way....feet injuries suck:nod: |
