I had an alternator fall off a shelf and land on my foot. Smashed my big toe and chipped the bone. It split the toe open across the "knuckle" portion so they couldn't stitch it closed, it had to heal on it's own. That poor toe has never been the same. You might want to get an X-ray just in case a bone is chipped, but in my case the chipped bone didn't matter.

i feel ya, i get banged up at work quite often.

If I don't start the week off by hitting up the first aid cabinet, then it wont be a good week.

Best first aid ever

Xring427 01-27-2010 09:55 PM

get it checked out, it only takes something like 14lbs of pressure to break a foot. you might have a fracture or just bruised the bone bad. in the mean time jack and the captain should be your close friends

Squirrel 01-27-2010 11:04 PM

i dropped 3 plates pulling sumo on my right foot when i locked out incorrectly... thank god i was wearing my work boots and it got rolled off w/o dicing my toes with the steel tips

steel toes can be a no no. i dont wear em because ive actually had a lift come down on top of my foot, doctor said it was a good thing i didnt have steel toe boots on cause the steel wouldve either sheared my toes off or just clamed the boot to the top of my foot. either way...not a good scenario. 50 lbs wouldnt be nothing for steel toe boots.

either way....feet injuries suck:nod:
