I was talking to some GM guy last night... real nutjob, but anyway, he was saying that the next chassis is strictly designed for a child's motor... no more V8..

Any truth there BiGal?

Ahahahaha
yes. Alpha is, or was as of 6 months ago, designed to handle only 4 and 6cyl engines.
Its very possible that Holden is making a different platform.
Remember that Australia still loves thier full sized RWD cars. The Commodore aka the G8, is one of the best selling cars down under, and is loved world around.
They are gunna want a new full sized RWD platform. It will have to be lighter and more fuel efficent then the current generation. And that means that Camaro could have 2 different possible chassis.

How could that be efficient and cost effective?

yea sounds expensive... those spy shots sucked... it looks like a normal camaro with a checkered bra on it...

I'm pretty sure that he means that right now there are two possible platforms that the next gen Camaro could end up on - not that the next gen Camaro will be built and sold to the public on two different platforms.

What Justin said.

6th gen has a good chance to make it to another Aussie platform. It will depend on how well the Volt, Spark, and Aveo do to offset a new generation of V8 powered Camaros.

Ahhhh, OK, I misunderstood what Al said.

Definitely gonna have to wait for a few more spy shots. Im anxious to see the "6th" gen
