tough mudder

Looks like it could be a lot of fun, plus its for a great cause. I'm debating whether or not to try it. Thoughts? Opinions?

Foosh 03-03-2010 11:10 PM

looks like fun but in the snow it won't be much fun...

Savage_Messiah 03-04-2010 12:59 AM

that looks like the pinnacle of badassness

Untamed 03-04-2010 11:03 AM

Free post-race beer by DogFish Head. Never had the beer, but alittle alcohol after that might be just the pain-relieving thing you need.

That looks like a lot of fun - forget the completion time, just run the course at your own pace and get through it.

Tru2Chevy 03-04-2010 11:13 AM

I think Tim had talked about competing in that last year - looks like it would certainly be a good time, and helping a good cause is always a good thing (as is free DogFish!).

Do it!

I wish I was in the proper cardio shape for a 7 mile run, cause I would do that race.

ar0ck 03-04-2010 11:37 AM

**** If I was around in time I would definitely give it a try!

HardcoreZ28 03-04-2010 12:55 PM

Ian....let me know if you're serious.....I'll do it with you.

thunder 03-04-2010 01:59 PM

this seems intense. i kinda wanna give it a shot

WildBillyT 03-04-2010 02:10 PM

Would be cool if I had enough stamina. I think this is more my speed:

You have 2 months to get your endurance up hahah. I've been training since the fall to get my cardio back up. Right now I do 5 miles 3 times a week at about an 8 minute/mile pace.

Ian 03-09-2010 06:34 PM

I've decided I'm going to do this. If anyone else wants to do it with me, I'll make a team.

LTb1ow 03-09-2010 06:36 PM

I will start to try and get myself into decent cardio shape, if I think I can do it, I will let you know.

transmaro93 03-09-2010 06:50 PM

matt... i might do it and im in terrible shape... a few of my freinds are doing it and want me to join... but its not a "timed" thing you just do your best... all you have to do is finish it... so if you get tired and have to slow down for a minute or 2 it wont matter...

I don't recall the last time I ran, biked or did anything remotely close to cardio work.

We shall see.

Edit: lots of uphill running, 1100 ft elevation, cold, and full body cardio = def not easy to train for

I would love to do this next year

HardcoreZ28 03-11-2010 07:12 AM

Dude that sucks......maybe next year. I have a rugby game the day before anyway so I would have been running on only half a tank.
