Air Intakes

Hi guys-

I've recently picked up a 95 Formula, and have found that the air intake "baffler?" is cracked, as is the air filter box. Not too big of a deal, but I'd like to have it stop slipping apart. So I figure I can:

1. Rig it together (which I hate putting band-aids on problems)
2. Replace with an OEM
3. Replace with an aftermarket

So, my question is- Is an aftermarket worth it or will an OEM replacement suffice? I'm not into "tricking it out to race with", but I wouldn't mind a decent performance increase for a good price. I want to avoid K&N $200+ types, so is there any others out there that anyone would suggest?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, it's a V8. Feel free to PM me with a price on the K&N, but my original question still holds- Is an aftermarket worth it or will an OEM replacement suffice?
Thanks!

Aftermarket is worth it, the stock is a restriction even with no other mods

Ditto. Go for the CAI.
