general question....Difference between 98 /99/00-01/02 manifolds?
Besides the egr provision, is there any other difference.
I now that on 01-02 had cats that unbolted unlike 98-00 that had only 1 cat that unbolted and other that was welded. Main Question.... is the passenger manifold flange (to ypipe connection) the same size/angle in all years? yes.........an ls1 question I don't have the answer to. |
98's were stainless...

my 98 had two cats before i went long tubes years ago.

Main Question.... is the passenger manifold flange (to ypipe connection) the same size/angle in all years?
I need to know this cause I have to purchase a passenger side manifold/header, for use with my turbo piping. if the flange angle & size is the same all years than great. if not, need to know so I can purchase the correct one for my application.(I don't have my manifolds to check this cause I threw them out afterinstalling lt's) |
Manifolds for turbos are ftl. Make your own headers Curt.

The 00-02 had the AIR fittings rotated 90 degrees compared to the 98-99 but that shouldn't be an issue if you're going to block them off. I have a pair of manifolds sitting around if you want them. The driver's side has a stud that broke in half but the passenger side is fine with the EGR tube still connected.
