aftermarket valve covers
hey guys, i just purchased a pair of tall aftermarket valve covers and i was wondering what the best relocation bracket setup is. i want to remove my AC and AIR but keep everything else.
thanks jim |
Can't help you with your question about brackets, but I am wondering this:
What gain is there to be had from after-market valve covers? |
appearance, hence the appearance section :)
i'm still working on mine using the stock bracket. going to fab it up on matt's car and see what breaks :D i'll let you know how it turns out. check out lt1engine.com, they have a write up. |

1.) Better appearance 2.) Better gasket sealing 3.) Clearance for aftermarket rocker arms 4.) Noise cancelling (or the opposite if you want to hear your solid cam) |
you can make the stockers work, gotta trim the baffling on the one side for wide body rockers. i'm curious if you will have other interference issues with those suckers being so tall! they do look nice though....

But yea, its tough cause no one makes a relo setup for "street" use. Adam's bracket is hand made though and uses all stock stuff, so we shall see what that blows up... |

yeah it seems to be hope they dont hit or gut the inside of stockers or spend 500 on a street kit to relocate the alt. im definitely curious if your setup works that you did
|
probably screw with it next weekend, i'll definitely post up.
