Anyone bought new painted parts from e-bay

I need a bumper and pass fender. It says all I have to do it provide them with the paint code. Anyone bought painted parts from e-bay? How was the paint match? How has the paint held up?

pewter is hard to match, when i went to get paint for my car, even with the paint code, the guy had like 15 different shades... just keep that in mind

White is easy to match. How did the paint hold up?? I know pewter is hard to match that is my main concern. I asked the seller if he had any problems with paint match and he said no but if there is send it back and well fix it...I just dint want to send it back to indiana

i went to a local body shop to get a spoiler painted and he used his special camera to take a photo of the paint. you'd be surprised how much paint fades over the years. i think its going to be hit or miss.

I got a pewter front bumper and fender pre painted from ebay. The color is close but not exact. You can see the difference around dusk, but during the day it looks the same. The paint and clear coat is SUPER thin, and has been chipped right down to the primer from rock hits. The bumper and fender were a quick fix from an accident. I would not buy pre-painted things off ebay again.

Do you think it would be better with onw of those clear bras on the front?? do you have any problems with the paint chipping off in large pieces??

take off your gas cap cover and send it to them to paint match. ive had that done before for mail order painted parts. shouldnt be a problem.

I was going to get the front bumper but after seeing kirkevil's bumper I think Im just going to have my stuff fixed and repainted

unpainted camaro bumpers are usually cheap. id rather get a bumper that hasnt cracked or has a divot in it beings that it has the chance of cracking the paint or flexing easier in that area. ive seen bumpers fixed and paint flaked off within a year or shortly over.

That's because the shop didn't prep the bumper correctly.
