Damn..... I know how much work I put into my 97 v6 bird to go 13.7.

So... it gets 31 mpg, goes 13.7 at 102 mph, handles to a 0.96 G's with optional GT suspension.... damn

So...My 2001 Plymouth Neon gets 31 mpg, goes 13.7 in the 1/8 mile, handles 96.0 G's with the optional 185/60/15" tires! YEAH BABY:nod:

BigRocsFirebird 03-31-2010 07:08 PM

sweet

BigAls87Z28 03-31-2010 10:49 PM

Ehh...the 31mpg is with the base 2.73 gearing.
The car that went 13.7 didnt have the 2.73 gears, it has the 3.31's.
Just an FYI. Still pretty killer.

 just a lil envious.... i HOPE GM would do something to match this, maybe take out some lead in the trunk of the camaro

Slow-V6 04-01-2010 08:10 AM

They better hope that the new gt is a 12 second car!! 100 more hp plus more weight to get .8 seconds faster!!

its all about the technology. ford hasnt had it for quite some time. nissans' 3.8 v6 crushes fords. hell even the v6 camaros had more than the fords. now maybe they've gotten their head out of their ***, maybe they can produce a mid sized engine with power. but then again, ford ive noticed has a history of these claims and little results when it comes to full production. we shall see what happens.

damn u mean ford finally found their balls?! took long enough im happy to see the 5.0 return and a V6 that actually moves lol

Jersyboyy 04-06-2010 09:55 PM

Fords really trying to stomp the competition with their v8 5.0 coyote motor im not surprised they want their v6 to be on par against the competition.
