deffinately doable...isnt very hard...just need all the goodies that go along with it. you might be better off finding a car that was wrecked from the behind or the side to buy as the donor car...as you can find them cheap and you get everything you need in one shot. piecing together a swap can get expensive..especially with the little thigns that nickel and dime you

I've done it before. definately a pita but its worth it if it's what you really want to do and you want the challenge, or else just sell car and get a manual car

what's the definition of killing your wallet and can you do the work yourself?

jts98z28 04-02-2010 06:46 AM

it all depends on how much you have the ability to do and as long as you buy used and sell your auto it wont be much

There are a few yards in Morrisville (just over the Rt 1 bridge), but I haven't ever seen an LT1 F-body in either of them. Mostly 3rd gens with the occasional 4th gen v6.

Talk to the guys at Contemporary Corvette in Bristol - they have a large salvage yard that is full of corvettes, 4th gen F-bodies, and a few other performance cars, and their prices are usually fair.

if that place uses the username "fbodyparts" on ebay, then definitely go with them. call them up if they don't have a swap listed on ebay, i'm sure they could pull one together.
