got the car retuned and making more power!

got the car back a few weeks ago and its running bad ass! looking to get some new times in the next few weeks. I increased boost 2.5 more psi and installed 120 lb/hr injectors and a few other minor tweaks and the car picked up another 75 hp almost at the rear wheels :) . Oh and did i mention all PUMP gas :)

Very nice. So what be the final numbers? :)

camaroracer1992 04-07-2010 10:34 AM

650 rwhp with 540 torque, all this is on 93 octane sunoco and a "conservative" street tune that is running a tad on the fat side.

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-07-2010 10:46 AM

That's off the bottle?

camaroracer1992 04-07-2010 10:58 AM

no more bottle that is motor/supercharger

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-07-2010 11:20 AM

Gotcha. I knew you had the supercharger but I thought you still had the bottle too.

There were people that did both last year, I see nothing wrong with doing both.

I'm not familiar with your car but what Procharger do you have the necessitates 120#/hr injectors  That's f'in insane

Fuel injector sizing math says those injectors are for applications in the range of 1270hp

camaroracer1992 04-10-2010 07:49 PM

had 65's on the car before and they were 98% duty cycle so i stepped up to 120's per my tuner, they are a tad larger then needed but it allows room for more growth and the car idles and runs bad ass so im sticking with it. :)

Frosty 04-10-2010 07:54 PM

Yeah 98% is just a wee bit too much.

camaroracer1992 04-10-2010 09:52 PM

in all actuality i probably only needed like 83's in it but my tuner knows his **** and this was the first supercharged project i did so i definitely trusted his judgement since he doesn 1-2 a week at least, let alone all of his tuning experience.

i am pondering going down 2 more pulley sizes next year, different map sensor and a different set of heads to knock my compression down more and try to break the 700 rwhp number on a pump gas 355 chevy, or i may jet my nitrous plate to spray a 50 shot in it to cool down the chamber a tad and see what that gets me.

Frosty 04-10-2010 10:18 PM

I assume you're running an F1?

Anti_Rice_Guy 04-10-2010 10:21 PM

D1....

Frosty 04-10-2010 10:22 PM

REALLY? I didn't think he'd get that kind of power from a D1

If I was going to lie/make a joke it'd be a good one, not something like this :-P

camaroracer1992 04-11-2010 11:00 AM

d1sc with 13.2 psi at 6250 rpms. the car is very efficient and likes that combo for some reason, im not gonna argue with it :)

Frosty 04-11-2010 11:25 AM

That works, I ASSumed it was a F1 based on the injectors and the injectors you're running.

I guess what they say about assumptions are true :rofl:

SteveR 04-11-2010 12:13 PM

Sounds like a pretty sick combo, can't wait to see it run!

T69SS 04-11-2010 07:36 PM

Very nice numbers!
