Are the bottom red portions lights (brake or just running)? or reflectors? I actually like the left pic better where the reverse light appears "smoked".

I don't really dig the red portion of the export light against the maroon paint. Kinda blends in too much or something. But I do like the how the "low light" reverse light looks. I'd smoke out the stock reverse lights, if that's legal.

yea, i would smoke it, right now there is just too much white for my taste

and as for how they function, that would be up to me. i would wire them into the parking light circuit as a dim red when my lights are on. not as a brake light.
The real European use would be a bright red light used as a rear fog light marker light.

Shouldnt the export light have a yellow/orange turnsignal?

V 04-11-2010 07:04 AM

stock cts lights have an amber section on the bottom already so no need

Jersey Mike 04-11-2010 08:16 AM

Never really liked them on the CTS, to be totally honest.

He's mildly obsessed with export lights, regardless of how much better / worse they look.
