Need help asap!!!
I noticed today, when my car is idling the engine temp starts to rise very quickly and will not go down.until i start to drive it cools right off...please need help asap!! any ideas???
|
and his a/c is on regardless of where the temp knob is or where the a/c and defroster control is, it always blows cold air
|
Many times. Hooking your electric fans to a toggle switch so you can leave them non helps, very common
|
Or fix it right.
The AC never stops regardless of setting? Huh. Are the radiator cooling fans running too? |
Well this is one way that would possibly fix the problem, just giving options, which never hurts
|
i can turn the a/c off and it still overheats...but even if i set it to heat it blows cold air

hmm yeah ill take a look at the fans and fuses tomorrow morning...didnt think of that lol
|
do this. turn off the HVAC completely at the controls, start the car. See if the compressor is running - the clutch will be engaged, you should be able to see it. See if the rad fans are on. Turn on the AC with the controls, see if the rad fans come on.
If you can't turn off the AC pull the AC fuse |
okay awesome thanks man...i just wanna get this figured out asap
|
is this an LT1 car?
If so, stock fans don't come on till ~220 range, so other than your AC problem, there may not be anything wrong... |

Well if you do, do not go cheap on the delete pulley.
