intake manifold

so i've pretty much hit that point in my rebuild where i'm changing everything. up now is the intake manifold, throttle body, and fuel rails. i was originally thinking the fast 102, but its a tad pricey for everything. i was thinkin weiand since it gives me more flow than the ls6 and i wont have any install issuses like the pro xt or victor jr. anyone here ever use one?

What is your combo and what are you looking to do?

An LS6/PTB flows real well... next step above that is a Ported 90/90 combo, a 102/102 combo I bet flows well but at that point you start running into fitment issues if you stall have a MAF with bellows and whatnot.

The eldebrock Pro XT is made for a truck/swapped LSX vehicle and will not fit under an F body cowl without major cutting.

Vic Jr is the same way... yes it can fit, but you need to cut to make it fit.

i have an ls6(oem) and ported TB. The tuner said a 92/92 would be good for another 25rwhp. but i didnt care to spend 1200 bucks

its a 383 ls1 turbo, ported heads n cam. gonna run 10 - 15 psi. redline is gonna be 6-6200rpm. i'll still be running my maf but probably going to an 85 or 90mm anyway. i can put a 90mm tb on the weiand no prob. i know alot of people use the fast manifolds but weiand seemed to be a good alternative and not overly large on the diameter.

ive heard the fast intakes arent good for boost because they can split from the pressures. a typhoon or weiiand seems to be the popular choice for boost....something to kick around in your head
