doing a swap.

Hello everyone it's been awhile since I have been on here and i'm sorry for that. I'm not sure if this is were this post belongs and if it's not in the right spot i'm sorry.

Me and my brother have a 1997 camaro with a v6 in it that blew up, and we are wanting to switch it over to a lt1. Now my ? is 1. how hard would this be. 2. What are all the parts that we would need, (I mean we know that we need the tranny and the motor).
I have search for other post about this and can't seem to find what I am looking for. I may have just over looked it and not know about it, but if someone can help us it would be very well appreciated. Or if you know of a post that explains this and know were it is at can you give me the link for.

yeup, best bet is to find a wrecked LT1 for parts

or just part out the V6 and buy a running LT1
