Slim and trim front bumper

I've been riding around with no front bumper due to my intercooler install and weight reduction from the last time I was at the track. Installing the oem bumper wasn't going to work so I decided to build my own. I only had enough room for something under 1 1/2 inches thick so I came up with this design. It's made out of schedule 40 black pipe that I had lying around and bought two plates 3/16 thick by 8x8 inches. I'm sure it's not as effective as the oem but it gives me a little more security when driving the car. Bumper weighs 17 lbs.
