Some guy gave me the bird, so...

...I did what anyone else would do in this situation.

Sorry for the corny title, I have to get you guys to look at this somehow!!!

And because there are tough critics on this site, let me explain something.

1. I placed the bird towards the top of the hood because I wanted to avoid as much of the louvers as possible.
2. This decal is obviously not meant for this year vehicle but my wife wanted it and its her car, so who I am to tell her no.
3. It isnt 100% straight and the reason for that is, it requires professional installation. For those of you who dont already know I am not a professional!

Im sure there is something else wrong with it that I missed so, go ahead and rip me!!

P.S. The above text is completely meant in a joking manor and in no way am I being mean!! Carry on.

this looks pretty sick to me.. but hey im a camaro guy

miketa95 09-05-2010 06:59 PM

I like it, and the wheels too. A bit different without looking bad. nice!

fmybody 09-05-2010 07:23 PM

just realized that it reminds me of the 30th anni TA... maybe thats why i like it so much..

_87TA_ 09-05-2010 08:02 PM

FoodStampsz 09-05-2010 09:33 PM

I really like that color on the white looks awesome :)

BigRocsFirebird 09-05-2010 10:41 PM

that color blue + the white = sex on wheels. i love it.

Frosty 09-06-2010 12:31 AM

Ughhh I hate to be the first negative response here but I think it looks super tacky....it just doesn't fit the lines of the hood at all. I like the blue color but that's about it.

To me you just ruined what looks like to be a nice new paint job. To each their own though. :)

DaSkinnyGuy 09-06-2010 12:36 AM

your cars unique

LS1Hawk 09-06-2010 07:28 AM

Hate to be a killjoy, but I have to agree with Frosty. There's a reason those decals were only on 2nd gens. I've seen many 3rd and even 4th gens with the hood decals and they never look right. I would have kept the way it was, or put the stock 3rd gen decals on it from that year. But then again, you said it's your wife's car, so if makes her happy then I guess that's what matters.

All that aside though, it looks like you did a pretty decent job of applying it.

btownws6 09-06-2010 08:55 AM

yea im not a fan of the bird on anything other then a 2nd gen but i like the way it looks with the colors good job

i agree with frosty

Anti_Rice_Guy 09-07-2010 07:38 AM

Meant for it or not, it definitely adds some flair!

TAdan 09-07-2010 09:58 AM

I say complete the look and ad matching 2nd gen style sail panel birds and fender decals. ;)

usp55 09-07-2010 10:40 AM

I like it, Liked it more without it cause it was so clean looking. If it was a tad bit smaller to not hit those louvers at all it would be much better.

Whiplash Performance 09-07-2010 11:41 AM

Looks good!

Green_Phoenix_LT1 09-07-2010 12:49 PM

Personally I don't like it.

That being said, if the owner of the car likes it and is happy that's all that really matters.

69BirdX 09-07-2010 03:31 PM

Not my style but doesnt look horrible

BonzoHansen 09-07-2010 04:01 PM

If the owner likes it than it is good.

I think on a flat hood (no louvers - V6 car?) it would be better as you could have properly centered it. That is the problem I have, visually it is out of place. But I understand why you did it.

twin99 09-07-2010 07:52 PM

I think it would have looked better if it was ghosted in
very subtle like in pearl white, silver pearl, shadowy siloete deal.......then that **** would have been sweet.
