Here comes the flood!

We got lucky and didn't get as much rain as they were saying, but to the west and north they got pounded. I was just looking at the Delaware River flow charts and the flow up north in NY and the Lehigh flowing into the Delaware is climbing rapidly. The flow up in NY is already 4 times the flow in Trenton and that doesn't include the Lehigh which is double the flow at Trenton right now. It looks like it will probably be coming up around 17-20 feet at Washington's Crossing where I keep my boat. I'm glad I took my boat out on Tuesday and took the dock apart.

My house is right on the Delaware and 4:30 this morning channel 7 NY had their news van a few houses down from me. Damn spot lights woke me up. Grrrrrr.

Looks like it will be moderate flooding, but nothing biblical.

We're up about 10 feet already. I just pulled the dock in some more and pulled in and tied off the lower steps. I think we still have 8-10 feet more it will come up.

On thursday night, the 11:00pm Accuweather report said that the Delaware would crest in the Trenton area at 8:00pm tonight, right at it's flood level. Of course, I'm sure that changed slightly based on the actual amount of rainfall.
