 Need a starter...

Any particular brand to get? I don't need any super-duper high torque, mega-expensive starter.
Just some remanufactured piece will be fine. They all seem the same, any brand to get or at least stay away from? |

what car do you need it for

The GTA, I'm just gonna pick one up local, just wasn't sure if anyone had any experience on what brands to get or stay away from.
I think I've had to replace a starter once out of all of the cars I've owned, lol It's gonna be due soon, it clicked away for a minute or two tonight, then started right back up....it's gonna go soon. |

 clicked away????
Many clicks means that its a electrical problem. Bad battery but if it started i would look at the cable connections. One click when you hold the key would be the starter going bad. |

i usually try to go ac delco. but i saw that a minstarter from summit(powermaster i think) was about the same price.(for my V)

Thanks for the offer Al, I'm just gonna get an AC Delco one if it needs the starter
I'll check the wiring today, battery tested fine. I keep forgetting I can get GM stuff dirt cheap from my parts guy lol $60 for an AC Delco starter, can't beat it |

renamed remmy/duralast for 38. Lifetime on both. Wasalso gunna say goto to an lt1 starter. Same bolt pattern but 1/2 the size. |

Yup, I looked that up. The owner of the dealership usually discounts our tickets 50% so it'll be more like $30 WIN!

I got mine from advance auto. 140 after core and its lifetime guarantee as long as you have the car and receipt. Nice piece of mind.
