i guess i officially am in love?

well i told my girlfriend about how i plan on dropping about 10k on my camaro to make it run 10's, she got mad apparently and gave me the option of her or my car that has been sitting on jackstands in my driveway for a year...needless to say i informed her she can leave lol i might be a little obsessed with my car but it stays no matter what girls come and go, and that is the 2nd girl i had to break up with because they were against me spending so much money on my car i need to stop finding duds!

dont feel bad a few years ago i chose my 01 xtreme s10 over my g/f

DaSkinnyGuy 10-12-2010 09:45 PM

The woman that is fine with the car is the keeper.

jts98z28 10-12-2010 09:47 PM

i know she was all about my car until i filled her in on how much money im gonna spend lol

Ls1dreamin02 10-12-2010 09:53 PM

When my dad married my mom he said he told her he was a package deal. It was him and the car or nothing. Now they have been married for over 25 years and his corvette is still in the garage never to be sold and to be passed down to me :)

Anti_Rice_Guy 10-12-2010 09:56 PM

Why'd you tell her how much?

r0nin89 10-12-2010 10:23 PM

So did she actually leave over that or was she appalled it was such an easy decision?

BigRocsFirebird 10-12-2010 10:29 PM

your money, your life. your not married so hell with it. no women no worries and more money.

S.J.SLEEPER 10-12-2010 11:17 PM

TRUST ME.....
The money spent in your car will be way less than keeping a woman around. as a matter of fact, You can keep the car and get a Hooker every weekend and it still will be cheaper than a girlfriend/wife !!!

NJ Torque 10-12-2010 11:36 PM

So...she left?

TAdan 10-13-2010 08:24 AM

Once when I was dating my g/f (now wife) and my car wouldnt start she said to me "you should get a new car."

I replied, "When you dont want to put out my car dosent tell me to get a new girlfriend."

I laughed, she didnt.

Absolutely lol

redsoxsstink 10-13-2010 09:50 AM

dont worry if she really likes you she will come back. but if you never really liked her that much, i guess this is a win win for you

Frosty 10-13-2010 09:52 AM

How long have you guys been together? How old are you? Was this a really serious relationship?

jts98z28 10-13-2010 10:14 AM

im only 19 it wasnt serious im just suprised that it seems like all girls hate the fact that i spend money on my car lol i told her because she asked i didnt see the point in lying cause she she bothers me sometimes, the only problem is i work with her lol

Wolfblitz 10-13-2010 10:14 AM

I had the same problem. She told me i was spending more time and money on the car then her. Even after an expenses breakdown of the over 14k i spent in 6 years, she still wouldnt believe me. In short i leave you with what i told her before she left for good. "The car was here before you, the car will be here after you" :moon:

If dinner is expensive you probably shouldn't be spending 10k on your car and should rather rethink your finances.

jts98z28 10-13-2010 10:16 AM

and dinner itself isnt expensive its the spending 60+ a week on it that adds up to more a month than a 10k loan would

Frosty 10-13-2010 10:23 AM

Wait, you're gonna take out a $10K loan@19yrs old to build up your car? You might want to rethink that...but it's your $$.

There are woman out there that are OK with the car hobby, some even encourage it. A good friend of mine has a wife that is encouraging him to get his Camaro done....she's perfect
