anyone work late shifts at work?

hey guys just wondering if anyone else works the late shifts at work and gets weird vibes.
i work at a retirement home doing full time maintenance and part time security and its a pretty old facility and has seen alot of death of the years. when i do part time security im normally on 4pm to 12am but tonight they have me on 12am to 8am and damn its sooo quiet here at night and it feels like every time i leave the office that someone/thing is watching me. just a little weird. i only feel this way when im at this place at night. i can be anywhere else and im completely fine lol.

mtg6486 10-16-2010 02:00 AM

ive done a few midnight shifts in the er but its never really bothered me. then again i had someone with me to hang with

emolineaux 10-16-2010 02:06 AM

yea im sure if i had ppl around i wouldnt think twice about any of it lol. ive heard stories about stuff that has happened on the 12 to 8 shift around here. but yea it kinda blows being the only one up and around the place. well besides the fugly and jailbait nurses lol. but they dont walk around the place like i do.

WayFast84 10-16-2010 07:27 AM

Some times when I can't sleep I get to work about a half hour before anyone else and it is just freaky. I'm not saying I think something is watching me but it just feels weird because no one is there.. What I hate more is walking from my car into the building! There are some HUGE bucks over there and I would hate to scare one on the wrong day..

Side note. Is that place hiring more guards?

maroman88 10-16-2010 07:38 AM

work rotating shifts so usually atleast one week a month is midnights... not very scary here

every so often i do 24 hr shifts in the barracks. from midnight to like 3 am is when you usually catch a glimpse of the shadow creatures passing across the hallways.

emo, you bringin the genesis to the nats by any chance?... i havent seen one up close in person and been meaning to check em out

madness410 10-16-2010 02:44 PM

nope i dont get that feeling at work. at my fire dept. though, its been there for almost 50 years and has a lot of history, when im in the bay alone late at night sometimes i think i hear things and feels like im being watched.

its not emo lol. and prob not. things have been crazy busy for me. if im free that day i might stop up. but will prob just stick to meets since island is going to be just f bodies that day.

Anti_Rice_Guy 10-16-2010 03:52 PM

FYI It will not just be f-bodies. Squirrel isn't coming in an f-body and he's racing. It's a regular test and tune day as well as our event.

if anyone wants to go up against the genesis down the 1/4 i might consider bringing it up to island lol. never been to island before is it just helmet required for street cars?

You might need a fire jacket too since it's FI. Not sure since it's the stock turbo. I'd ask Melissa or read the rules.

i'd def be up to run against the genesis, and i think only a helmet is needed until 11.99, unless its a convertible

Fixed the time for you, and yes you are right - with the exception of power adders. If you run a supercharger / turbocharger / N2O, you have to also wear a fire jacket, no matter the ET. But I am pretty sure that stock power adders aren't included in that regulation.

BigRocsFirebird 10-17-2010 01:52 AM
