Passed Inspection!

Went around eleven today and finally passed inspection. This car has always failed there for everything! I'm glad NJ is just emissions now. Still have no front tag and very surprised about passing with my new headers. Has anyone gone lately? It takes all of five minutes now!

sweetbmxrider 10-18-2010 01:48 PM

crazy!

BigRocsFirebird 10-18-2010 01:58 PM

finally i'll see you on the pike again!

RU_Weskot 10-18-2010 04:17 PM

hahah yeah xrelapse & i went to inspection (which is only 5 mins down the street now) and he was surprised he passed.

 the guys were arguing about who DIDNT wanna drive his car through. Most abuse his clutch has seen in years.

NJ should do like south carolina has. No inspection. cars can drive around with no emissions, cats or mufflers and they wont say anything. even thou taking the cat off is illegal no one cares.

BigRocsFirebird 10-18-2010 10:19 PM

I like most of what Christie is doing in NJ but doing emissions only with no safety check is a bad, bad thing IMO. There are a lot of cars out on the road that have no business being driven...

That's true, but our collective ass is 'po. Desperate times, etc.

jts98z28 10-19-2010 10:42 AM

i assume if they had a safety check i would fail for lack of airbags

So, you're the one!

emolineaux 10-19-2010 09:46 PM

yea this new inspection is a joke. they had my sonoma in and out in like 3-5 mins

Stupercharged 10-19-2010 10:09 PM

so you can pass with 5% tint no problem?

Yup, no problem. You can still be ticketed for it, but no more inspection issues.

Is tint part of the emissions/exhaust system?

Why is this so hard to understand, I swear I read a post a week about this since it's changed. :-?

Nick, haven't YOU tinted your catback yet? Or even your tips? It looks awesome. And they're now protected from all those harmful UV rays.
