oil change light comes on?

leaving school today my change oil light comes on.

i changed my oil at around 66,500 so i know i need to change it around 69,500. the car is 1,000 miles short of the need of an oil change, its at ~68,500. the oil is mobil 1 synthetic. why could this light possibly be coming on now.

after i drive a bit it also goes away but its annoying starting it up, seeing the light, then have it go away. the oil levels are fine in the car also, and the oil looks like normal oil.

computer just calculates an approximate time to turn the light based on several factors, just reset it, and be done with it

is there a reset button or something? it comes on when i start it up, i drive about 1000 feet and it turns off but its annoying as hell..

Put KOEO(Key On Engine Off) and press the gas all the way to the floor 3 times and should go bye-bye.

turn the key on while holding the trip reset and continue holding for 10 seconds, should reset it too.

all else fails your owners manual will give you the steps.
