m6 t56 odd clutch issue
some times at full rpm shifts "3rd most times" it will be hard to get into gear and the clutch pedal stays in for a couple sec before it slides back down. i dont race the car to much so it doesnt bother me but if it is something important i should look at i want to know to fix it right away.
anyone have any ideas? |
stock master cylinders suck, very common issue. you can try the "drill mod" and bleeding it, that might help, otherwise the Tick master is a nice piece, I have one and it works great.
|
Making sure they fluid is clean and new is a bandaid. Then next will be what creeper said. Drill mod ...... then new master.
01-02 hydralics are a upgrade also. |
I have the same issue. I'm just telling the new owner about it and not gonna bother fixing it. I may give him a new gm master.
|
ok ill check the fluid and if that is not it ill replace it. any write ups on replacement? new to working on manuals. ive pulled and rebuilt motors so i can figure it out just a heads up or tips would be great before i get in there.

ordered the tick master i'll see what happens

I decided to look at my fluid tonight, before the car gets picked up tomorrow. and wow... it was bad.. black and grey and slimey residue at the bottom. there was even a 1/2" of water in the black rubber gromet thing. I soaked up everything in the resivour and wiped it out, also dried off the rubber part. I then refilled with fresh DOT3 fluid. tomorrow ill see if its any better and ill tell the buyer to bleed it good, and he may not have to replace it.
