dropping an lt1 in

Is it possible at all to drop an Lt1 with the trans and headers attatched from the top of a 4th gen? Its got a Tubular K

i took the old one out the bottom so i wouldnt know

With trans yes.... headers most likely not. We just pulled my motor and trans through the top but not with headers attatched.

Yes, can be done depending on make and style of headers,
without headers yes definitly!

Why not just install it from the bottom?

I did it in my driveway by myself, pretty easy.

Shame you have those two extra cylinders taking up space, I was able to not only pull the V6 out the top, but could also turn it sideways in the engine bay ( less trans.)

and I second just going back through the bottom, even though I had that much space, getting to things like the engine mount bolts and headers was a pita.
