The definition I'd give is modifications that do not force you to break a fluid seal (as in gasket).

everything you listed is a bolt on...headers and exhaust, lid, fuel pump and injectors

NJ Torque 02-24-2011 09:59 PM

Headers, full exhuast, Electric water pump....

anything that isnt internal to the engine is what i consider bolt-ons. everyone has their own little spin on what they are though.

-lid
-throttle body
-ram air
-intake manifold
-underdrive pulley
-clutch/converter
-ewp
-headers/y/catback
-lighter driveshaft
-gears

I'm sure there's a few other little things

The most common accepted use of "Bolt Ons" or a car thats "Stock Internal" is that no mods can touch the engine oil. This also, of course, assumes that you are naturally aspirated.
