Best of the day IMO. I stopped just to tell him that. He was appreciative.

This car had some nice equipment. Definitely had a cam, Forgelines, and a ridiculous exhaust. It sounded like a machine gun.

New 5.0 with R compounds. I couldn't keep up at all.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_z...0/IMG_2491.JPG
Weeeeeeeee!
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_z...0/IMG_2524.JPG
Mad?

Loaned my neighbor's helmet. Size: XL

Real nice dude. Told him I was a first timer, and he gave me some tips on what I was doing wrong. After I listened, I was nearly hanging with the R compound guys. Real talk. Peaced him up before I left. That's what the car community is all about.

These Vette guys were annoyingly fast.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_z...0/IMG_2544.JPG
Peace.

We sat with the guys with that 81Z at dinner Friday night. We had so much fun Friday night. Good ole New Yorkers right there. Fuggetaboudit. So pissed I could not go the rest of the weekend.

So many cool guys out there. A lot of guys helping people out when they needed it. I’m planning on heading to Bill’s event in TN in September.

Did you see the carnage of the blue widebody stang? That car is sick. It has an LS motor of some sort in it. It threw a rod through the block. And hit a wall. What I don't know is if those events were separate or not.

Some awesome photos, looked like a great time. Definitely post up next time there is an event at NJMP, I'd love to spectate/shoot.

That red Stang the guy drives everywhere. He was at the Goodguys show in PA last fall and he autocrossed all day

A number of those guys do. The drive to tracks all over. Like the Connecticut guys (red 68, primered 67 that is total bad ass race car that is way nicer than the primer indicates) hit lime rock regularly, drove here (snow when they left), will drive to Gingerman in Michigan in June and other places. Those guys are what 'pro-touring' was all about before marketers & wannabes jumped in. Making old cars perform like new ones both on the track and on the road. The touring stems from things like the power tour where you drive your cars long distances. It is not the ice cream & cruise night guys with 17s+ that won’t leave their county. I am totally in line with the pro-touring philosophy.

Yeah the funny part is Chris and I judged him when he pulled up, saying he was all show. Then he immediately pulled into the autox paddocks.

Damn I need a 6spd....This is real racing to me.

why was the challenger mad?

BonzoHansen 04-06-2011 04:42 PM

That 69 above is Mike Manning's car. He owns American Autowire in Bellmawr. DSE built, IIRC came in 2nd in last year's Good Guys Street Machine of the Year (a prestigious award builders kill to win). nice to see it is used:

Green mustang lost RF fender on the NJTPK on the way home. His comment? 'Eh, it's just sheet metal'

White TA is our friend Albert's car; Mike's 69; I think that Chevelle is a Hamilton kid; I think the BMW is Takid455's car.

The garage door by those cars is where we pushed my car into Friday night when the distributor decided to expire. Fixed & running again in no time. How awesome the track guys opened that up for us. The wind was cold cold cold at 4 pm friday afternoon
