M35A2 Deuce under water "Watch this truck drive across the bottom of a lake"

http://youtu.be/ICKLGYs8CE8

"This old film features an M35A2 Army truck, known more commonly as a "deuce and a half." It was rated for 5,000 pounds of cargo capacity when off road and a 10,000-pound capacity when on the road. Talk to any military truck driver and they will tell you that these trucks survived being loaded with lots more than that.

The truck itself weighed about 13,000 pounds and sported a 478ci straight-six engine that could run on a multitude of fuels. It was used in a zillion different ways throughout its long service life with the armed forces. This video shows the wildest way we have ever seen.

Watch this truck literally drive across the bottom of a lake. We're not kidding. It actually happens. Complete with "mermaids" hitching a ride. "

And we still use a variant to this day.

Great way to wash that truck. Just dunk it

redsoxsstink 04-08-2011 10:00 PM

shame they dont make em like those anymore. i cant get enough of the multifuelers with the "whistler" turbo. a bobbed one with a bed is orgasmic

Why not park it on the street.....obviously it's not prone to interior water damage.

What interior?

My friend has one. Stock the seats are pieces of plywood wrapped in 3/8in of foam and vinyl.
