Can HP tuners read trans codes?

My gtp in my sig is having a problem with the trans but it's not setting a check engine light and my scanner isn't picking anything up. I believe the trans is having a low line pressure issue which I would think would set some kind of trans code somewhere in the system. Does HP tuners check that far into the computer that it'd be able to pull these trans codes if they are there? Basically, is Hp tuners as powerful as a GM techII?

i know HPtuners reads BCM codes( air bag etc, ) and can control trans functions so i would assume it would read them too. The specific code, if it did come up, probably does not have the box checked off in order to activate the CEL when reported.
