edpontiac91 07-28-2011 09:35 AM

AUTOWEEK will give you the widest array of anything automotive from the moment it comes out and well written articles!

i subscribe to:

Engine Masters

Chevy High Performance

Gm High Tech

still want more i read them within minutes of getting them from the mailbox and by the time ive read cover to cover, over and over... i have to tape the covers on, guess i should just tape the cover up as soon as i get them... they should be a little sturdier IMO

Mark68 07-28-2011 09:46 AM

LOL, very true.

(Not to get off topic) I hate picking up a magazine and every month theres a headline of make 500HP on a $1,000 budget, or Do a $10,000 paint job for $1,000..... they're missing a key element when they tell you that. The engine they're putting the parts onto is a machined 383 with Keith Black internals, and some top shelf heads that already cost $10,000, but that isn't part of the $1,000 parts, they ment the rockers, cam, intake, and carb ( which they make sure to say each of those companies at least three times a paragraph) Or the paint job forgets to tell you the person painting it has been doing it for 25 years, and is a higher up for BASF, so the paint is a little cheaper then what a walk in customer could buy it for :rollseye:

Another magazine I may offer is Top Gear, and Grass roots Motorsports.

I mainly read Chevy High Performance, sometimes Super Chevy.

... and Dirt Wheels (atv)

Blackbirdws6 07-28-2011 12:52 PM

Car & Driver and GM High Tech Performance come to my house every month and I may pick up one or two on the shelf every few months. I'm cheap and usually wait for deals to pop up for subscriptions so I rarely buy them in store.

coolmanvette75 07-28-2011 02:23 PM

GMHTP, Chevy High Performance, Super Chevy, Vette Magazine, Camaro Performers

TTA850 07-28-2011 05:08 PM

GM High Tech Performance and High Performance Pontiac mostly, but i also like Engine Masters cause it has alot of neat idea's in it.

greenformula92 07-28-2011 09:26 PM

GM High-Tech....i look forward to it's arrival

BonzoHansen 07-28-2011 09:32 PM

I gave up on GMHT since it seems to be the same every month. Yea! How to do a cam/clutch/blower in an LS car. W00t!

I still like the variety in Hemmings MM, but they have been really stretching it with some of the carp they have put in it lately.

I still like PHR and CHP too

Or how to put an LSX in "Insert old car here" ..

Don't really read magazines, if I do, its for the pictures.

Makes sense in both what you wrote and in what you meant.

BonzoHansen 07-28-2011 10:09 PM

Has GMHT got into retrofits beyond like 3rd gens & g-bodies? huh. I got tires of seeing late model GTOs, etc. swaps can always be interesting due to the little details required to do it right but ends up stupid because they gloss over real details trying to sell (often sucky/wrong) parts.

BlackBADaSS02 07-29-2011 06:49 AM

The only magazines I read are GMHTP & Camaro Performers.

Blacdout96 07-29-2011 08:36 AM

I'm waiting for the newest edition of Vicious V6 to come out. oh wait...... :rollseye:

Also into most of the rat rod magazines

Tru2Chevy 07-31-2011 09:20 PM

Chevy High Performance is the only car mag I have kept a subscription active for any real length of time. I have pretty much every issue going back 10-12 years around somewhere. I would keep a couple of others coming, but I barely have time to read CHP and the copies of JP (Jeep mag) I get from a friend.

IROCZman15 08-24-2011 05:00 AM
