Mobile windshield replacement?

Anyone used one previously with good results? Found several online but would like to go through one that others have used previously...need the windshield on my 00 GTP replaced.

Thanks,
Bill

You live! Safelite has done our cars a couple times with good success.

Bill My friend and I have used this place. It is out of Deleware, but the service was really good and the price lower than the others.

I believe I looked into them but were at a much higher cost...for my 12 year old vehicle I'm looking to keep the cost as low as possible

Back in March I used Safelite to pop a new windshield in a '92 Cherokee. Cost was ~$275, only took 40 minutes from start to finish.

Wish I had found that place linked above....their cost for that Cherokee was just quoted to me at ~$175.

If it's got the HUD make sure you mention it.

I'll try to find the name of the company that I used a few years back. They came out to the house and replaced the windshield in my '90 F250. They did a great job and it was a reasonable price.

This worked out very well, under $200 installed in about 30 mins,

greenformula92 09-12-2011 08:07 AM

i will be using them, safelite wanted 310 plus tax and a fee

a local place wanted 250, these guys only want 170 and i don't have to bring the car anywhere, i am in for that

Got the windshield on my wife's minivan replaced a couple of days ago, they offer credit card payment as well(they have a wireless swiper in the truck) same guy as last time, about 35 mins start to finish :D

HOpefully I won't need to see him again for a few years minimum ie I hope no more of our windshields need to be replaced ;)

If you have HUD, dont pay the extra for the heads up windshield. You dont need. I put HUD into my non-HUD car and I can see the display fine.

greenformula92 09-17-2011 06:06 PM

they never showed up this morning...and it was so busy at work i didn't heave time to call :-x
