Boat races this Sunday 9/4 at the Barnegat public dock They haven't raced in almost a full month due to bad weather on the past 3 Sundays so I bet these guys/girls are gonna be fired up for some good racing. I plan on heading down to watch the races if the weather holds up. The location is pretty good so if you've never seen the garveys/skiffs/outboards race yet this is a good chance before the season ends. www.jerseyoutlaws.com |

I talked to a couple guys and they're really fired up. It's also the championship race for the other club over in Beach Haven by Viking Village. If this girl comes down and I don't end up going to the jet ski club meet Sunday, I'll probably swing by here. Look for water toy #2 in my sig  I love to play with the race boats |

There was some good racing yesterday with a big turnout in Barnegat. The first race saw one boat get sideways(it might have rolled all the way over) and the driver and co-pilot got thrown out into the water. They were fine and raced later on in another heat after getting the engine fired back up. There was a pretty steady wind in the back stretch and lots of boats were getting airborn which made for some interesting racing. I think they are racing in Parketown next weekend and then Lavalette to finish the season. I saw a couple of 4th gen f-body's there but didn't recognize the cars. |

It was damn choppy in the afternoon. Jeff, did you happen to see my old ski there? I think my brother stopped by. Driver that was thrown out was a girl my age. |

It looked like there were at least 5 female driver/co-drivers. I can't tell one waverunner from another so I doubt I would have noticed your old ski. I saw a group ride through at one point, I think the races were taking a break at that time. I wonder if some of the ecbrcnj guys will show up for the last 2 weekends since their season is finished now. I think I saw around 8 garveys in Beach Haven after their race and a guy was taking out a sweet blown big block hydro boat but somehow managed to get a rope wrapped around the prop shaft before he could even make a lap. |
