Geez, enough with the rain already!

The rivers are rising even faster than Irene! I remember one of the guys at Accuweather saying it was going to be a wet August and September because of the pattern we were in, but this is getting annoying. And central PA up into NY state is getting it a lot worse than us. I'm really glad I took the boat out of the water and had no intention of putting it back in this year.

The flooding was way worse today around here. Severe damage to the underside of the roads, houses, and a huge mess to clean up. Thank god it wasn't windy so their wasn't any sticks but the amount of debris and gravel was ridiculous.

I'm stuck n NJ, can't get home. Either he highways are flooded or the highway washed away!

I'm on the mountain, so family an house are safe, just that tey can't get down it, and I can't get up it! There is so much flooding in the towns that most had the electric turned off.

The River ( Susquehanna ) went over Thursday in Danville and is still rising, this morning it covered the tops of the parking meters in town. On th oter side of the mountain is Catawissa, they say by the river only the top of the stop signs are showing! Set a record for flooding that stood for 100 years!

Sounds a lot like me. I can't really get anywhere by my house is fine on the 2nd highest point in Jersey.

I just learned my son's manager from baseball this past spring lost his house to Irene. He lives near Polar Bear.

A family friend lost their house to Irene as well. Town engineer came out and condemned the place. Cuomo made a visit too. They live in downtown Suffern near the Mahwah river. Too compound matters, the father was out of a job for a while and had to refinance the house to make ends meet and thus, they won't see a penny of the insurance payout. That was a heck of a storm and those of us that made it out unscathed should be thankful.

But on a brighter note, the weather today is gorgeous!
