November Car of the Month Submissions

Anyone can post one photograph of only their Camaro or Firebird in this thread. Photographs of multiple cars or cars with models will not be accepted.

Please include your name and a short paragraph (at least a few sentences) describing the ongoing project(s) being done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.

If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.

All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason), or send a private message to me for assistance.

At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winning cars (regardless of ownership changes) will not be eligible to enter again for 12 months.

Please limit this thread to posts submitting pictures only. Comments and other chit-chat will be removed.

This is my DD Pewter Z, I bought it in August 2011 completely bone stock. The paint is rough on one side and the rear also but you're seeing the good side! It's a 6 speed, C5 Thin Spokes, aftermarket stereo and subs soon to be installed. I'm unemployed now but much awaits this beast.

Photograph courtesy of Ryan Samin (JamJao), thanks!

My name is Jeff Conover, and this is my 1996 Camaro. I've owned it since 2004, after purchasing it from my aunt, who was the original owner. The car has a large amount of modifications done out it, mainly centering around the handling of the vehicle. the latest upgrade performed was a Corvette C5 front brake upgrade.

My name is Matt Giordano and this is my 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA with 88,000 original miles. I am the second owner of this car and have most recently used it for auto-x. The suspension has all new Koni yellow shocks/struts, a UMI double adjustable panhard bar, poly front LCA bushings, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, and Spohn spherical strut mounts. Other modifications include a 3000rpm stall converter, 3.70 rear gears and a shift-kit. The original motor just developed a knock so a 355 or 383 build is in the works.

1991 Firebird Formula

I have owned this Formula for over 17 years now. It is a garage queen and gets to High Performance Pontiac Day for its Drag Racing event and mostly the rest of the season it goes to judged car shows. There used to be time several years ago when 3rd Gen's were everywhere, but now it gets quite a bit of attention at shows because it's a L98 350 and usually it's the only one there. Every performance piece is a bolt-on and has improved the handling (Alston SFC were welded on) and response of the entire vehicle. The tail lamps are from a 1991 GTA and now are VHTF in mint condition.

This is my 2002 Camaro Z28. Monterey Maroon, hard top,A4. I bought the car back in October of 09 stock with 35,000 miles on it. It has been my daily driver ever since and now has 47,000 miles on it. I have been slowly changing a few things as I have the money. It currently has an SLP Loudmouth 1, SLP Lid, UMI Non Adj LCAs and Panhard,K&N Filter. I changed the looks with a black billet grille and black ZR1 wheels wrapped in Nitto NT 555's. Currently sitting at home waiting for when I get home from school.

About the car: This is my '68 RS/SS Camaro. I bought it about 10 years ago and have refurbished or replaced almost every part on it. The only thing that didn't need to be addressed was the paint. I have a 350 cu. in, 400 hp engine in it with a Muncie 4 speed trans and a Hurst shifter. I just added a Comp Cams Thumper cam that gives it a big block sound. The exhaust is a 2 1/2" stainless kit from Pypes with Violator mufflers. I installed a push button start that makes it kind of unique. The wheels are 17" Troopers for Rushforth. The original seats have been replaced with Arizen racing buckets in black leather with red inserts, the rears have also been recovered to match the front buckets. The front seatbelts have been replaced with 3 point racing belts from Morris Classic Concepts. There's much more but I think you get the idea!!
