Ceta and Stuff

as some of you may have seen... i picked up a LT1 T/A to swap my LS into. Its apparently some sort of custom color, i thought it was SOM, but who knows. i was always a fan of the CETA mod on the T/As, so now its my turn to do one. but what color? does anyone got any pics of anything besides black on a SOM car? perhaps a gunmetal? also what black do you think would look good? i was thinking either Gloss or Satin... i think complelte flat wouldnt look to good...

Some type of semi gloss.

Here you go, please excuse the crude cut lines:

If you want to try grey or something I saved a .psd so it's easy to change up.

Semi and Satin are the same, right ?

Yup

sweetbmxrider 01-31-2012 02:32 PM

I believe semi will have a little more reflection than satin but not as much as gloss. I don't know any percentages but that's how it was explained to me.

Rogue status. Like rly?

sadly its already been thought about and eliminated from possibilty.

itll be somewere on the car... dont you worry.

sweetbmxrider 01-31-2012 02:39 PM

Then I'd make the black as close to the tail lights as possible. I am somewhat disappoint.

MyFirstZ 01-31-2012 02:43 PM

I would go satin, i love the ceta mod

Blackbirdws6 01-31-2012 02:51 PM

Well what is the theme for the car going to be? Rim color? Any other little touches you plan on doing to the exterior?

Once you know those details, makes recommending a shade and color easy for the CETA.

LS1ow 01-31-2012 02:55 PM

Possible Chrome on the rims... still a possiblilty on the CC-dubs from your friend :D

if not theres a 90% chance of black... and no Lego

So many options for Red/SOM TAs. I have a plethora of quality pictures with different themes & rims saved on my harddrive.

From Fox to Camaro to Bird. Come a long way there

LTb1ow 01-31-2012 03:44 PM

Matte pink.

Satin or gloss black will look the nicest in my opinion, but any black is better than the way they came from the factory!

Blackbirdws6 01-31-2012 04:40 PM

Then I would go gloss...

S.J.SLEEPER 01-31-2012 04:48 PM

from shiniest to dullest here is the run down
gloss
semi-gloss
satin
matte
flat

LS1ow 01-31-2012 05:27 PM

went with satin. i love the way it looks. pics in a lil
