After making a mistake and selling the speed skiff to try and buy a 1970 Z28 (which wasn't as nice as described and , I regretted selling it and realized how much fun it was so I decided to look for another one. This boat is actually cleaner than the other one and runs just as strong. After driving my other one, I forgot what it's like to be a passenger when we took it out. The handle really is needed!

As I already said, congrats! I say we join one of the clubs and I'll be your copilot 8-)

Looks awesome!

I actually have an extra hatch cover with it. The boat apparently had a blower motor in it and was making 800 hp before that motor blew up. I can't imagine 800 hp in a 16' boat.

The black ski boat the Jersey Outlaws ran last year (it was at the fun runs too) had a 600+ hp 358 before the boat came apart. It now has Brodix heads/different cam and is now shooting for 800 hp.

This has a 350 in it, around 425-450 hp which is more than enough and probably too much.

I caught a few of the races on Sunday at Barnegat Bay. JS-03 was "The General" and painted like the Dukes of Hazard Charger. Some of those skiffs are sick...

Yeah, I was there at the races watching. The General wasn't running right, he was way down on power. The other skiff ran great but broke something.
The garveys had some good close races. They were missing a lot of boats this weekend due to breakage already. I had my skiff out on the Delaware River both Saturday and Sunday. I took a couple of locals out for a ride and they were saying "wow, that's a crazy ride!" I told them we weren't even close to the top speed because I'm still getting used to driving it. It's a blast to drive, even at a nice smooth 40 mph.

I just wish you'd rescue your Camaro and get it done.

Be careful Jeff, 35 mph is the speed limit in the river and NJSP has quite a few boats out there!

That looks like fun. Good luck with it.

Yea I remember the announcer saying that he had a problem. That blue JS-03 that beat him sounded really mean

The world ends in December and I don't think it will be done by then so no hurry at this point!

Here's the spare hatch cover from when one of the previous owners ran a blower motor in it. 800+ hp is insane, but he said that motor was rebuilt and is now living in a drag Camaro!
