inconsistent idle, throwing codes for MAF and TPS
 
motor is an lt1 with cc306, fresh rebuilt, new o2 sensors

the car does not idle on its own soon as it starts, need to give it a little gas for a few seconds then it idles on its own around 1500 then could drop to 1000 or stall or even jump to 2000. the tps code gets thrown with car off key on, maf code doesnt come on until car is running. i dont usually throw parts at a car and hope it works but i replaced the tps and problem still occurs. i oblonged the holes on the tps but im a noob when it comes to ohm meters(need help) so i am not sure if it is set properly

Codes:
p0122- throttle/pedal position, sensor A, circuit low input

p0100- mass or volume air flow circuit

also is throwing this code.
p1657GM- skip shift 1-4 upshift.

i been researching for days but have been coming up with next to nothing,

Im having the same codes coming up on my new motor though mine is idling ok. Im taking it to tunetime next week in hopes that i can fix these issues. Please keep me informed and i will do the same

It should be the blue wire you need to test on the tps. You probe it with a volt meter and read the voltage key on engine off. Set it to .67. Then clear the light and see if the maf code comes back. I think the skip shift needs a resistor wired in, google skip shift eliminator.

Stupid question, but did you check your wiring connections and make sure you are getting voltage?

I assume the car has a mail order tune for the cam?

pcm for less tune.

can someone school me on how to test wires? today i tried testing the tps with the ohm meter, i put it on the sensor itself on black and blue pins. i got it set to 2.66 but i am not confident with my electrical skills yet but im dying to learn

also checked engine sens fuse. unplugged the fuse and still popped up the same codes. i figured more would pop up. then i un plugged maf, tps, iat and turned key on to trip codes, then erased them, key off, plugged back in, and tried again. did not change anything

The tps sensor must be plugged in. You only want to probe the signal wire, it should be the blue one. You can use a fine pin or paperclip if your multimeter has large pins on the leads. Set it to your lower voltage setting. With the key on and engine off, you want to set the tps at .67 volts. Then have someone slowly depress the gas pedal and watch that the voltage smoothly increases. At wide open throttle, you should have over 4 volts, should be about 4.5 volts.
