TB bypass
I want to do the TB bypass on my 94. I have looked on shoebox's website. It appears the the 95 is different from the 94. I have a coolant hose coming in from the driverside and out the passenger side. My question is can I just disconnect both hoses and connect them with a barb? Instead of the way shoebox's website says. I will try to get pics tonight when I get home if anyone is confused by what Im describing.

got my answer. you do just disconnect the in and out hoses and reconnect with a barb. Thanks shoebox on cz28

Yes, you can just use a short piece of metal tubing (old fuel line if you have it sitting around to cut down) and the clamps. You'll want to clamp off the hoses before disconnecting them so you don't get coolant running all over your opti! I don't think it really makes much of a difference so it might not be worth the hassle.

Ive done all the other free mods, so might as well. And I dont have to worry about the blades icing up, as i wont be driving it much, if at all, this winter.
Stumbled upon this: http://http://www.ws6.com/mod-8.htm If you hit the back button at the bottom left, it gives you all the other little "free gains". I found it interesting. |

Idk about the accuracy of the 1 HP gain but it makes sense to gain something because your taking away from drive line mass. Your also shedding some overall weight so you would definitely gain from swapping from a steel shaft to an aluminum shaft. Is it going to be noticeable? Probably not

i'll ignore how many 4th gen aluminum d/s i've seen twisted into pretzels to save the 1hp :kneeslap: |
The aluminum d/s are better balanced than the steel ones. I am bringing a spare steel one to race wars but I have gone 1.6ish short times with the aluminum.

Id stay with the steel driveshaft, if your looking to shed pounds take the spare out or as my dad tells me just loose some weight yourself

I had a pink one and it survived fine going 1.5 60fts.
Its fine behind an auto. Manual, not so much. |
