Anybody seen this roadrunner?

This was my brother in laws roadrunner that he built. He sold it several years ago through a place called musclecar garage since he lives in Colorado now. I drove it once through the pits at E-town and it was ridiculous. Curious if anyone had seen it around.

Phil is an old friend of mine from Belleville, where we both grew up.

Like the article mentions, it was a race car (early 70's style) and still had the 1972 inspection sticker when he bought it. He spent a lot of time and money on the car and it turned out to be really beautiful in person when it was done.

I had seen the car run 10.5 at 130 many times at Englishtown with that stroker motor. Before he moved to Co, I raced him and a Cartek built C5 Vette from a 45mph roll with my 84 - he won by 3 cars to 130 (Vette wasn't even close). Wonder why he put 11.1 in the article, unless that was at CO altitude...

Here's some pictures his wife put on FB...

Hi Paul. Michelle is my sister. Did you hang out with the Belleville car guys?

grazi 07-03-2013 10:39 AM

I think they did the article before he put the new motor and rear in. I think he ran low tens at e-town. I actually was there takin pics from the side pullin the tire up. Michelle had the talon she used to race by the way. They left the roadrunner here in storage when he moved and just sold it about 3 years ago.

I could swear that the car had the motor it in way before the article, maybe I'm getting old and got stuff mixed up?

How could I forget the talon?

I didn't realize that they sold it - actually figured they had it shipped out to CO.
